Who are we?
- Non-government, non-profit organisation
- Day centre offering service called social rehabilitation

For whom is this service intended?
- For
adults who are in a crisis due to their current situation in life,
their health condition, long-term unemployment or social isolation
- People suffering from a long-term mental-health condition
What is our task?
- To
help those, who need it, to find a new sense of life in their new
situation, to help them reintegrate into the society in the areas of
work, relationships and interests
What is our aim?
- To offer help and support, together with professionals, in a long-term mental health condition and during a crisis
- To offer help to clients in using their personal rights and interests and in organising their personal affairs
- To lower as much as possible social exclusion of the clients
- To lower as much as possible the stigma of people with mental health conditions – education of the public
- To keep and/or to improve the state of the clients´ mental and physical health
- To help to raise the clients´ quality of life
- To cooperate with the clients´ families
History
This
centre was established in December 2003 and since then has been running
in the building of the Kindergarten 1.maje 864, Roznov pod Radhostem.
Thanks to the generosity of the Municipal government in Roznov (
městský úřad),
this room was used free of charge during the whole of the year 2004. We
are very grateful to the Municipal government for this support in the
beginning of our work.
The official opening of the centre
didn’t take place until the 11th of February 2004. At the official
opening, there were also present: Mrs Libuse Rousova - the then-vice
mayor of Roznov p.R., Mr Vlastimil Koukal - the director of the
Walachian Open Air Museum (
Valašské muzeum v přírodě),
Mrs Alena Cervena – the then-director of the Kindergarten 1. máje 864,
members of the association Zdravy Roznov and other people supporting
the idea.
We cooperate
- On common projects with other organisations in the town
- With a Dutch organisation STICHTING DE BOEI based in Eindhoven
- With the Home/Boarding House for Seniors
- With the Municipal Library in Roznov (Městská knihovna)
